Following recent reports concerning Salmonella and imported eggs, we confirm that all our eggs are 100% British and sourced from a UK farm. Although our standard eggs are not British Lion stamped, the farm advises that it operates to British Lion production standards.

We can also provide certified British Lion-stamped eggs on request at an additional cost. Please contact us if you would prefer this option.

Update – 21 August 2026

The Food Standards Agency says the definitive source of the outbreak has not yet been identified. Current evidence points towards imported eggs used mainly by restaurants and catering businesses. There is no evidence that UK-produced eggs are affected, and no related recalls have been announced.
