Who we are:

Eurofrutta is a family-run fruit and vegetable business established in the 1960s to meet the growing needs of London’s burgeoning restaurant and café culture. With the passing of time and the changing requirements of the capital’s food markets we have risen to the demands of an ever-evolving range of tastes and eating habits.

Two generations’ knowledge of ‘off the shelf’ and specialist foods means that we can meet the highest demands of quality prescribedby our customers. Located at the heart of New Covent Garden Market, also known as ‘the larder of London’, we are perfectly placed to service the requirements of customers in London and the Home Counties

our philosophy

We are particularly devoted to sourcing locally-grown produce, in order to both support local farmers and also reduce, where possible, the company’s carbon footprint. To this end we are delighted to be able to call upon a growing network of British suppliers providing sundry organic fruit and vegetables on our behalf.

At Eurofrutta we strongly believe that customer choice should be as informed as possible and so we are always on hand to lend an ear and talk to our customers about our wide range of products. Although we already issue a monthly newsletter to keep our clients up to speed on the latest food news we recognise in these fast-moving times, this is no longer enough. The fruit and vegetable industry is an ever-evolving market and we know that there is always more we can do to help our customers make informed decisions about what they want to buy.

Our history

Eurofrutta began life as a one-man operation back in the 1960s, when, while working at several busy London restaurants, waiter Bruno Fulgoni recognised the need for an improvement in the quality and variety of the fruit and vegetables being supplied and set about providing the service himself.

In the 1980s Eurofrutta settled in New Covent Garden Market, the first port of call for all of the capital’s imported fruit and veg, and Bruno’s son Danny came on board to learn the trade and help the company develop into one of the leading grocery distributors in London.

Eurofrutta now delivers fruit, vegetables, dairy and other provisions to schools and offices around London as well as restaurants, bars and cafés and our aim is to continue growing as a company, while maintaining the core values that have been intrinsic to our development; namely providing a wide range of quality produce, guaranteeing dependable, punctual delivery and, most importantly of all, listening to, understanding and meeting the needs of our customers.
