Christmas 2017 – opening times
Our trading days over the festive season:
With Christmas approaching fast we thought we would give you another reminder of our trading days over the festive season.
We will be open up to and including Saturday, 23rd of December and then reopen with a limited service on Wednesday, 27th of December. A full service will resume on Thursday, 28th of December up to and including Saturday, 30th of December). We will then close on Sunday, 31st of December and New Years Day (1st of January) and reopen on Tuesday, 2nd of January.
The reason for the limited service on Wednesday, 27th of December is that due to Christmas falling right after Sunday this year, we are unable to source any fresh produce until the Thursday. Therefore all produce sold on Wednesday will be pre-Christmas stock! So if you have the storage capacity, we strongly advise you to order all you need for the long weekend on Saturday, the 23rd delivery.
Orders can be placed at any time via our phone lines or by email over this period, just please state clearly for which day is the order.
May we take this opportunity to thank you all for your custom over the last year and wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Courgettes Crisis!
It hasn’t been the best of starts to 2017 in the fruit and veg world.
I’m sure your aware as it has been heavily reported on TV and in the newspapers, bad weather in Europe (Spain and Italy mainly) have caused shortages in many products that we get from there at this time of year.
I have never known prices at the levels they are currently and unfortunately it looks set to continue for a while yet. It’s mainly affecting salads, tomatoes, peppers, aubergines and yes COURGETTES.
While we are doing our best to search alternative areas for these products, it is proving difficult, and our main focus is keeping the quality high.
The best advice we can give at the moment is to plan your menus carefully. There is plenty of produce available out there that hasn’t been affected so much.
